Good hardware, really bad, unfriendly and bored staff. Don't expect any service here.
This hotel has a real service problem. With service I mean the the staff. 95 % off the staff does not speak any English. This was not a problem for us as one of us speaks Spanish. There was no effort at all from the staff to be supportive. Everything needed to be negotiated. Everything was difficult. No smile, no friendliness. This is a general problem in Colombia as the tourism is still young. But in this hotel it was especially worse. Some examples:
- in the restaurant, we asked if it wold e possible to change a side of the dish. The answer was. No, you eat it as it comes if you want some extra you pay for it.
- The staff came into our room to check the mini bar when we were in the room.
- The check out was long and difficult. The invoice was wrong, many extras were added, for example luxury and security tax. There were not able to print a new invoice.
I could write many more examples.
The hotel restaurant is very badly illuminated. We got up early one morning to go hiking. It was so dark, we cold not see the breakfast and had to ask to turn the light on.
In the hotel lobby the play loud music which you can hear in the rooms. When you want to sleep in the evening you have to call the reception and ask the to turn it off.
Housekeeping was inconsistent. Sometimes toilet paper was not refilled, sometimes no shampoo or soap. Sometimes we had hand towels, sometimes not.
It is really a pity, as this hotel has basically a nice infrastructure but the staff is not trained at all.
The hotel Now is very well located in a quite neighborhood. Situated on a hill it offers nice views from the roof top terrace which also has a small pool. The rooms are spacious und have a little sofa area which makes it comfy. Most of the rooms have also a little balcony. The rooms on higher floors have of corse a better view. All the rooms are more or less the same size.
